Learn the art of sourdough over a relaxed morning of baking and brunch at The Hub on Verulam.
Perfect for complete beginners, this workshop with Daisy from AL5 Sourdough will talk you through the full sourdough process, from starter to freshly baked loaf, with practical advice designed to make baking at home feel simple and achievable.
Daisy will have dough prepared at different stages, allowing you to see and understand each step of the process, including mixing, folding, bulk fermentation, shaping, cold proofing and baking, without the hours of waiting in between.
GET HANDS-ON
You'll learn how to shape your own sourdough loaf, ready to be baked during the workshop, as Daisy shares her tips for getting great results in a domestic kitchen.
You'll also learn how to care for and feed a sourdough starter, understand when your dough is ready at each stage, and troubleshoot some of the most common sourdough problems.
Then, while the loaves are in the oven, you'll sit down to brunch , with plenty of time to chat, ask questions and talk all things sourdough as the smell of freshly baked bread fills the room.
