Movie Synopsis
In 1715 rural England, a cash-strapped aristocratic couple scramble to keep up appearances ahead of a visit from a Duke and Duchess, pawning off family heirlooms while their disgruntled servants scheme against them behind closed doors. As duels, poisonings and slapstick catastrophes pile up, and the noble guests never actually arrive, the household's genteel facade collapses into full-blown farce.
